When we initially started The Plain Shop, we knew that eventually our focus on sustainability and transparency will eventually lead to work outside of our products. This was initially actualised in our first workshop with ReachOut, a charity focused on empowering young people with opportunities, mentorship and guidance. After a successful and engaging workshop, we've developed a full curriculum to offer to schools across London.
The Plain Shop’s Sustainable Entrepreneurship Workshop aims to empower and inspire children across KS3, KS4 and KS5 into the world of sustainable and inclusive enterprise!
This will be a tailored curriculum depending on the age group, but it includes a range of topics:
- The process of conceptualising a brand
- Understanding which products/services you’d like to provide
- Sustainable Sourcing Practices
- Identifying and exploiting different routes to market
- Online Marketing and Brand Positioning
- Intellectual Property - Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents
- Different types of Funding Options
The curriculum is also inclusive of EAL and G&T students.
